What is Aquamation?
Aquamation (water cremation) is a gentle, respectful Earth-friendly alternative to flame cremation or direct burial. It allows you to honour the loss of your companion without harming the environment.
It uses a water based alkaline solution instead of fire. The process is slower and more gentle than flame cremation because it closely simulates the natural processes used by Mother Nature to return a body to its basic elements. It does so without harmful greenhouse gas emissions, making it the ideal choice, even when compared to direct burials, which can contribute to methane gas emissions. Solace Aquamation returns the "ash" bone to the family in the same manner as flame cremation. The ash can be safely planted, scattered or kept in keepsake urns. |
